Mariposa Doula Services I am a mother of two wonderful daughters. My own experience giving birth to my second child with doula support inspired and motivated me to pursue doula work. I knew I wanted to give back what my doula had given to me. I completed training to be a doula through the Seattle Midwifery School, taught by Penny Simkin and Carrie Kenner. In addition to being a certified doula, I have worked for more than fifteen years as an early childhood educator (infants to three year olds) within the Albuquerque community, including nine years as the lead teacher of the Infant/Toddler Program at A Child’s Garden Preschool. It is an honor and a delight to share with women and their partners in the powerful, transforming process of becoming parents.
