| Kim Burks, CD, M.A. Birthing from Within Certified Doula and Childbirth Educator ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kim received her Master's Degree in Counselor Education from the University of New Mexico in 1993 and took time off to begin her family. She is the mother of twin boys and also has two daughters. As her family grew, she became interested in birth and Doula work. Begining with the Birthing from Within Doula Training Program in October 2000, Kim soon realized that teaching this philosophy and way of mentoring parents was a vital piece of the puzzle and an important part of her own journey of personal growth.
