| Erika Harding Birthing from Within Certified Doula and Childbirth Educator ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I came to Doula work following the Doula-assisted birth of my first daughter, Eveline, in 1997. I also had a Doula for the home birth of my second daughter, Grace, in May of 2000. Previously, I worked as a Bilingual teacher and before that, as a Latin American political and economical anyalyst for UNM. I wanted to stay home with my daughters and was looking for rewarding part-time work. Inspired by my birth experience, I trained as a Birthing from Within Childbirth Educator and Doula. What a great opportunity! Working with birthing women has been a powerful, life-changing experience, I love teaching and working intimately with women and families, and may eventually train as a midwife.
